MWEG: Building a More Peaceful and Ethical World

MWEG (Mormon Women for Ethical Government) is a nonprofit, faith-based organization dedicated to advocating for ethical government and empowering women as peacemakers and engaged citizens. With their official community space, MWEG Central, they provide a warm and supportive environment for principled women from across the nation and the political spectrum to connect and work towards a more peaceful, just, and ethical world.

In MWEG Central, members have the opportunity to connect with other MWEG members, including local chapters, and engage in respectful discussions about difficult issues. The focus is on prioritizing truth and fostering productive conversations. Additionally, members gain access to a range of tools and resources that help build peacemaking, media literacy, and civic engagement skills. Virtual events are also available for members to attend.

Whether your passion lies in protecting democracy, the environment, rooting out racism, advocating for fair and compassionate policies for immigrants and refugees, or supporting children and families, MWEG provides spaces where small acts can make a big impact. They offer a new, emotionally supportive, and healthy way to be civically engaged, particularly for those who may be unsure or anxious about negative interactions. MWEG does politics in a whole new way, focusing on building the Beloved Community and ensuring a healthy and strong democracy.
